Frequently asked questions

What is a Chordio lesson pack?
A lesson pack is a play-along piano lesson built around a real piece of music. Rather than drilling chords in isolation, you study the chords as they appear in the piece and play along with it in real time.
Can I slow a lesson down?
Yes. You can play along at any tempo and freely adjust the music's speed, so you can take a difficult passage as slowly as you need.
Can I play a lesson in a different key?
Yes. Every lesson can be played in any key, which makes it easy to practise the same chord shapes in unfamiliar keys.
Which pieces are included in the lesson packs?
The current lessons are Erik Satie's Gnossienne No. 1 and Gymnopédie No. 1, Claude Debussy's Arabesque No. 1, RnB Chords No. 1, and Chord Progressions 251 No. 1 — a lesson on the ii-V-I progression.
Are lesson packs suitable for beginners?
Yes. Because you can slow any lesson down and change its key, beginners can work through a real piece at their own pace instead of waiting until they can play it at full speed.
Where do I find the lesson packs?
Lesson packs live inside Chordio. Download the app free from the App Store, open a lesson, and play along in any key and at any tempo.
